Trinity University of Asia Celebrates the Launch of the Institute of Business and Management

 

Trinity University of Asia (TUA) proudly launched the Institute of Business and Management (TUA-IBAM) on August 16, 2024. This new institute is poised to play a crucial role in advancing business and management education, as it sees the need to meet the growing demands of today91әs dynamic industries. The launch event took place at the University Theater in the Student Services Center.

The program opened with Industry Spotlight, a panel discussion featuring five industry leaders. They provided valuable insights on trends and future directions in business, real estate, tourism, and hospitality. Their participation underscored the importance of aligning educational programs with industry needs.

University President Dr. Gisela DA. Luna highlighted TUA-IBAM’s mission in her keynote address. 91ӜTUA-IBAM aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application to prepare our graduates to not just participate in the industry but to innovate and lead. This institute reflects our dedication to staying ahead in today91әs evolving business landscape,91ӝ she stated. 91ӜOur goal is to produce world-class graduates who will lead with integrity and innovation.91ӝ 

VP for Administration and Finance, Ms. Matilde C. Asuncion, announced the transformation of Ann Keim Barsam Hall into the Barsam Corporate Center (BCC). 91ӜThe Barsam Corporate Center will be a hub for collaboration and innovation,91ӝ she said. 91ӜIt will be a place where ideas are nurtured and brought to life.91ӝ The BCC features modern classrooms equipped with the latest technology, collaborative workspaces designed to encourage teamwork, and state-of-the-art facilities that support hands-on learning. Its sleek, contemporary design, with a glass facade, symbolizes transparency, inclusivity, and openness, fostering an innovative academic environment.

VP for 91 Affairs, Dr. Howell T. Ho, introduced the four schools under TUA-IBAM: the School of Business and Accountancy (SBA), the School of Tourism and Hospitality (STH), the School of Real Estate Management (SREM), and the Graduate School of Business (GSB). 91ӜExcellence is the foundation of our educational philosophy,91ӝ Dr. Ho said. 91ӜOur programs foster strategic thinking, ethical leadership, and service excellence.91ӝ

Dean of TUA-IBAM, Dr. Fernando V. Trinidad III, spoke about the institute91әs emphasis on teamwork. 91ӜTUA-IBAM is more than an institute. It is a community built on collaboration and shared goals,91ӝ he said. 91ӜTogether, we will drive innovation and prepare the next generation of leaders.91ӝ

The event concluded with a press conference and a networking session at the President91әs Executive Lounge. Attendees engaged in discussions about future opportunities and collaborations.
